Co-organised the following MeCCSA Policy online seminar:

Speakers: Sonia Livingstone (London School of Economics and Political Science), Lina Dencik (Cardiff University), Alaphia Zoyab (Reset.tech) and Eleanora Mazzoli (London School of Economics and Political Science);

The governance of platforms lies at the centre of critical issues in communications from misinformation and hate speech to dataveillance and digital capitalism. This MeCCSA policy network event discussed policy issues and policymaking concerning the governance of platforms in the context of academic research agendas, capacity and approaches. It addressed UK policy and research issues but do so in the context of considering platform policies and research at European and International levels. Following the session, chaired by Jonathan Hardy, a lively discussion commenced on this most current of policy areas.
