Northern Ireland Science Festival 2024: Architects of Change workshop

Activity: Participating in or organising an eventOrganising a conference, workshop, ...

Description

As part of NI Science Festival programme, a children's workshop based around up-cycling tote bags and T-shirts, using repurposed material and items, was held at the Branson Centre on Rathlin Island. This workshop was aimed at engendering the reusing and repurposing of materials that are otherwise determined as 'ready for the bin'. During this workshop, children were taught the importance of up-cycling old items and worked on crafting their own tote bags and pencil cases that represented their island identity and unique outlook on creativity. This workshop was a part of Future Island-Island's festival event lineup included in the 2024 NI Science Festival.
