The workshop wasstructured into two parts: a morning session with a closed round-table discussion, and an afternoon session with talks by academics working on endangered sites and stolen antiquities.

During the morning session antiquities dealers, police, customs officers and academics were discuss current issues and possible solutions to limit the illegal trade of Libyan antiquities.
The afternoon session comprised a series of 4 talks about leading interdisciplinary projects across the near- and middle-eastern conflict zone, including Syria, Jordan, Egypt and North Africa.
