Joint event between the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWW) and the Institute of Sustainability & Environmental Professionals. In collaboration with Northern Ireland Resource Network and the European Recycling Platform.

Future Island-Island explores community-informed approaches to the green transition through co-design and place-based engagement. Working closely with the offshore island community of Rathlin, as both a lens and a teacher, we explore a diversity of community ideas and approaches to shaping a just green transition. This project harnesses the potential of small counties to positively transform waste culture and behaviour, organisational change, policy, and innovation through applied design and digital worldbuilding in harmony between planet and people.
