    A twenty minute presentation given as part of the Harry Potter and the Convention of the Rights of the Child. This paper explores the lack of Democracy and Due Process in Rowling's wizarding government, and their use of Cruel and Inhuman Punishment. It provides a lighthearted way of analysing cultural acceptance of the erosion of human rights.
