HE/FE Sector & Department for Regional Development : Design innovation to complement the DRD Bicycle Strategy and the promotion of cycling. A think tank/ideas group promoting design led approach and collaborative working between government, HE/FE and industry to be a pilot to influence development of similar strategic initiatives in the next Programme for Government. Ideas generation led by DRD with DCal including NI Universities design research and innovation, Colleges NI, CC Skills , ACNI, Irish Design Building on DRD’s work on the Bicycle Strategy and the promotion of cycling. The driving force for the collaboration was a desire to work with designers to • create innovative cycle parking through a design competition; and • develop design solutions for the carriage of bicycles on buses.
