Description

I was asked to comment on a book proposal by Jon Hochschartner, "Animal Liberator: The Authorized Biographer of Ronnie Lee".
I recommended a rejection, not least because the proposed book's subject, Lee, the founder of the ALF, was imprisoned for ten years for terrorism offences and continues to advocate and condone violent attacks on human individuals. I thought that the publisher could do without negative publicity surrounding what could be a very controversial book.
The proposal was indeed rejected - but it was subsequently published elsewhere.
