European Respiratory Society: CME Online: How to Diagnose Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis

Activity: Other

Description

A new CME module is now available which focuses on how to diagnose hypersensitivity pneumonitis. The module is led by the director Prof. Michael Kreuter, who is accompanied by Dr. Ganesh Raghu, Prof. Martina Vasakova and Dr. Nazia Chaudhuri.

Hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP) is an immune-mediated form of interstitial lung diseases manifesting in susceptible patients after exposure to an identified or unidentified factor. In the past, various definitions of HP have been proposed, but agreement among experts regarding disease definition, diagnostic criteria, and diagnostic approach was lacking. Therefore, an international panel of experts developed a systematic approach to the diagnosis of HP which will be basis to future approaches to the management of HP.

The module involves interactive case simulations, panel discussion videos, suggested readings and will end in a CME test. Participants with a myERS account will also be able to take a test on the topic at the end of the module, which is accredited with one CME credit. A CME certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of the CME test.
