About twelve NHRIs from the wider Europe and four from other regions participated in the event. TJI’s Prof Fionnuala Ní Aoláin and Dr Catherine O’Rourke contributed to the sessions, together with representatives of key international stakeholders like the UN, OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), Council of Europe and civil society. This is part of ENNHRI’s 3-year EU-funded Project to enhance the effectiveness of NHRIs to promote and protect human rights in situations of conflict and (post) conflict in wider Europe.
