Description

This one day public-facing symposium will examine C.S. Lewis’s vision(s) of last things, exploring his depictions of the end in works such as The Narnia Chronicles, The Cosmic Trilogy, and throughout his fiction. We will also explore Lewis’s sense of the end in his non-fiction, in his essays, letters, and theological writings. Lewis scholars, at every career stage, and from around the world, will engage with this fascinating topic from a variety of perspectives to suit their research specialisms. Distinguished keynote speakers are Prof Emeritus Jerry Root of Wheaton College, and Rev Dr Malcolm Guite, Life Fellow of Girton College, Cambridge. As academic lead and co-organizer, I created the concept and title for the event, wrote the CFP, promoted the event on social media and via internationally-renowned podcasts like The C.S. Lewis Podcast with Alister McGrath. I curated the conference programme and designed the panels. I have liaised with vendors, academics, and I will co-host the symposium as well.
