In collaboration with Professor Jan Jedrzejewski and Dr Kathleen McCracken, I assessed the entries for the 2021 running of the McCrea Literary Award. Although we read several books of prose fiction, poetry and drama by various authors, we decided to not issue the prize that year because none of the entries were deemed to be distinguished enough.
